With this operating system designed to focus on battery replacement and be complemented by battery charges, Aleees will manage the entire battery management cycle hands-on, from battery maintenance, repair to recycle, to alleviate the harms that wastes impact on our environment and to solve the infeasibility predicament and current issues associated with electric vehicles, such as long recharge duration and unavailability of basic infrastructures.

Unique Electric Bus
This electric bus does not rely on diesel oil as its source of power, and it can save 50,000 liters and reduce 128 tons of CO2 emitted per year. The operations of such bus depend on electric power, and Aleees chooses the Lithium iron (LiFePo4) battery, featuring safe and ultra long battery endurance, as the power source for the bus. In terms of bus body design, manufacturing, and entire structure, Aleees partnered with other vendors to design this low floor and battery replaceable electric bus, or the first of its kind in Taiwan. Unlink the operational model of other plug-in electric buses that require more than 8 hours of recharging duration, the low-carbon urban green traffic network, introduced by Aleees, is built by integrating the public transportation system. Consumers need not change their consumption habits when using this new electric bus, and it only requires 6 minutes to replace a battery and resume bus operations.

CTOC Model (Cradle to Cradle)
One mercury-containing battery will render the land of a cubic in size permanently worthless for farming. In Taiwan, 9,400 tons of dry cells, on average, are consumed each year. If they are converted into the No. 3 Battery that we see everyday in our daily life, the equivalent quantity is 460 million batteries. Those wasted dry cells contain heavy metals including zinc, manganese, nickel, cobalt, iron, and mercury and cadmium – or the most hazardous ones to the environment. If they are not properly handled, the consequence will carry over to the next generation. Aleees electric bus adopts a hazard-free lithium-iron battery, made using lithium iron phosphate cathodes, and its maintenance, repair, and recycle operations are all professionally handled by Aleees to eliminate possible harms that mishandled batteries generate to the environment.

In the CTOC model (Cradle to Cradle), the recycling philosophy is enforced in every aspect of the battery management system – from material selection, bus design to the replaceable and rechargeable operating system. The advantage of this centralized battery management system is for each degree of electricity to yield its maximum effectiveness. Thus, Aleees is very particular and insistent on all maintenance and repair details. Each battery can be converted into a power storage system for wind power, hydraulic power, and solar power while its performance and all Aleees products can achieve the goal of - Zero Waste and Fully Recyclable. The core idea behind the Cradle to Cradle model is that all initiatives undertaken by Aleees are similar to the life cycle of a cherry tree – it is never a waste of resources when flowers fall to the ground from a blossoming cherry tree, since all deadwood, fallen leaves and fallen flowers will once again return back to the soil and become nutrients to grow new flowers and fruits.

    Emphasizing on the needs of bus operators, the design by Aleees has incorporated such factors as bus models and specs, driving environment, carrying capacity, factor of safety, safety equipment and prototype production. Produced buses will only be released to the market after rigorous tests at the ARTC and VSCC are passed, the plate registration process is completed and tests of pilot productions are succeeded. Divided by phases, the entire product lifecycle can be classified into the following five phases: product conceptualization and proposal, research and development, test and verification, pilot production and marketing and sales.

    Ordinary electric buses currently seen in the market require 8 or more hours charging duration before they can hit the road again. For Aleees electric bus and battery swapping system, robotic arms are utilized to precisely take and place batteries to their charger position and it takes only 6 ~ 10 minutes to complete battery replacement operations, which is far less than the period required for diesel buses, to hit the road again and the timing of operations will not be affected.
  • Maximum Safety Guaranteed
    The battery design and operations of the battery replacement system (EDenWay) are handled 100% by Aleees to ensure the safety of the vehicle. Meanwhile, battery maintenance and repair are more important than the bus itself. Batteries from Aleees are for rental only to ensure that battery management operations and maintenance are professionally carried out. The purpose is to take the load off the shoulders of bus operators, to save energy and time that bus operators waste on battery management due to battery unfamiliarity and to ensure the maximum protection on passenger personal safety.

    Unlike Plug-In buses that typically require more than 14 days of battery service duration, the replaceable and rechargeable operation system by Aleees eliminates unnecessary wait-time, and it requires only 6 ~ 10 minutes to replace a battery before the bus can hit the road again. This will reduce the service interruption down time to its minimal for bus operators, and Aleees will handle all battery maintenance and repair operations.
