Nail penetration VideoMost battery explosions happen when the battery shape is changed by external impact. In the laboratory, we use a nail penetration test to simulate an uneven pressure situation. In the video, you can see the Li-Co battery explode severely after penetration; however, the battery comprising LFP-NCO cathode material provided by Aleees doesn’t explode after penetration.
