In 1791, the
Italian
physiologist Galvani brought us the concept of the battery, the moment
he galvanized the frog leg. In 1800, Alessandro Volta developed a
battery which consisted of zinc and copper disc. It was the first
battery to provide stable electric current and opened the battery
generation. Over 200 years since then, there are various batteries in
our daily life now. The most common battery is the chemical battery,
which converts chemical energy to electrical energy.
